New habits for 2022...

Start your day with Lemon Water !! This could be one of my mantras for 2022…


I’ll admit it: the quest for me to stay hydrated and consume my daily recommended intake of H2O can be a challenge - (and: I know I am not alone in this!).


MOST of us fall well short of meeting our individual water needs, and finding ways to sneak in that extra glass or two may require some creativity.


For me, the most beneficial practice I’ve followed to increase my water intake, is to START MY DAY BY DRINKING A FULL GLASS OF LEMON WATER.

One full lemon (organic, preferably), squeezed into a glass of filtered water, is my go-to, kick-start way to hydrate and cleanse my body, first thing in the morning. Using a few drops of doTerra Lemon essential oil is also wonderful.


Why lemons?


Lemons are healing and nutritious fruits. They contain strong antibiotic, antiseptic and anti-cancer properties. They are rich in vitamins (C and B-Complex) and minerals (like iron, calcium and magnesium). And while they may taste acidic, they have a strong alkaline reaction in the body and can help balance out the blood, cells and organs.

They are also rich in bioflavonoids which not only boost your immune system, but also reduce inflammation.



Drinking lemon water first thing can also help to boost your metabolism, promote healthy digestion and elimination, wake up your brain, and put a little “happy” in your day. Think of it as sunshine in a glass!!


Try this for a couple of days, and see if it doesn’t just stick as one of your new 2022 Lifestyle habits!
